Fiona Scott – Facing A Crisis In Comms

This talk will look at crisis communications when an organisation is in a situation where their reputation is under threat due to an event, a report, a survey, findings, a tragedy, an act of God, or a circumstance which will be ‘bad’ news. Based on real world experiences and examples, Fiona will talk about planning for a crisis, risk assessment around possible crises in various sectors and what steps to take when and if a crisis hits. She will talk strategy, authenticity, apology and planning.

In Fiona’s talk you will learn:

  • How to risk assess your organisation.
  • An understanding of how the media behaves when a big story breaks.
