My Funding Journey – Storytelling 101

Today we continue Angela's funding journey with Aileen where we cover the story that we will be sharing with investors and where will funding be a game changer. A good story will:

  • Establish the problem
  • Introduce the solution
  • Share the benefit/value
  • Include what makes you different
  • End with a CTA

Here what Angela has to say after unpacking these three key areas.

After feeling rather frustrated I think I have pinpointed what the raise is actually for and not what I thought it was for. Now I can focus on one main project to raise for rather than the company as a whole. It's still challenging and crunching the numbers is not easy, but I will push through!

I am a female founder CEO and I know what it took to get to where I am today even though I am still far from where I want to be. It's been a lonely journey. There are very few other female founders that I have managed to chat with, learn from and grow with. So rather than feeling sorry for myself, I decided to build my own super network with women just like me and those further ahead in the journey who are willing to share their wisdom and experience with us.
