My Funding Journey – Taking the Plunge

Today we continue Angela's funding journey with Aileen where we're just checking in to see how Angela is getting on with her story. The story continues with Angela having another mini breakthrough and feeling hopeful. Watch this episode to find out more!

Here's what Angela has to say after realising that she's already got a pitch deck to work from.

I couldn't face having to do yet another pitch deck and let out a massive sigh of relief when Aileen said we can work from the one that I have already worked on for most of this year! Oh what a relief, at least I am not starting from a blank canvas again. I find preparing the pitch decks so boring to be perfectly honest. It's so much work, research painstakingly fine-tuning that I couldn't face having to go through it all again, just to produce a few simple lines. But that IS what it boils down to, you have a few minutes to attract or lose the interest of an investor and the few lines you get in a pitch deck to do so really do count.

I am a female founder CEO and I know what it took to get to where I am today even though I am still far from where I want to be. It's been a lonely journey. There are very few other female founders that I have managed to chat with, learn from and grow with. So rather than feeling sorry for myself, I decided to build my own super network with women just like me and those further ahead in the journey who are willing to share their wisdom and experience with us.
